MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace’s ghostwriter, Shannon Kyle, has leveled serious accusations against the star.
The 60-year-old TV host has faced scrutiny in recent weeks over allegations regarding his behavior, with more than a dozen individuals accusing him of making inappropriate sexual remarks and jokes over a span of 17 years.
Additionally, he has been accused of groping individuals, with more people coming forward with allegations.
In a statement issued through his legal representatives, Wallace firmly denied the accusations.
He stated, “It is entirely false that he engages in behavior of a sexually harassing nature.”
Recently, Wallace expressed regret for his comments suggesting that the complaints about his conduct originated from “a handful of middle-class women of a certain age.”
Following the emergence of various claims about his behavior, Kyle appeared on Newsnight on Wednesday to discuss the star with Victoria Derbyshire.
She claimed that Wallace once answered the door wearing only a towel, which he subsequently dropped.
Kyle also alleged that he made “revolting” and “sickening” sexual suggestions to her and even touched her inappropriately on her thigh and bum while she was writing his Life On A Plate memoir at the age of 35.
Lawyers representing Wallace told the BBC, “Our client has denied that he has engaged in any such behavior, and he specifically denies any sexual misconduct with Ms. Kyle.”
Kyle further alleged that the TV star shared explicit details about his sex life while she was working on the memoir from May to August 2012.
She decided to come forward about the alleged incidents to highlight his “predatory” behavior.
Kyle noted that her first interview with him was “pretty straightforward,” but by the second or third, he began to “discuss his love life.”
She claimed he talked about the women he dated and the “sexual acts they had done together.”
“He talked about spanking a lot. He also mentioned one of his girlfriends on all fours in front of a mirror,” she said, adding that he spoke in “incredibly sexual detail.”
Kyle found it “shocking” as it was unrelated to the book.
