Former Boy Meets World Actress Maitland Ward Claims She’s Gained ‘More Respect’ in Her Porn Career

Maitland Ward, best known for her role as Rachel Maguire on the 1990s Disney sitcom Boy Meets World, says she now enjoys greater industry respect after transitioning into adult filmmaking.

Ward rose to fame during the sixth and seventh seasons of Boy Meets World and had earlier gained recognition on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful in the mid-90s.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Ward shared how her new career path has empowered her.

“I really think people treat me with more respect now, honestly, especially in Hollywood. I’m pitching my memoir for a TV adaptation and talking with people who are so respectful and positive about my story.

“It’s been especially great with younger people and others in Hollywood. They’re much more receptive to my journey, and I feel a lot of positivity around it. I’m building my own brand and creating content on my terms,” she said.

Ward also discussed the creative freedom she now enjoys, highlighting her work as a producer and director.

“I’m making full-length films and projects that I’m truly passionate about. I work with a female director, who has been amazing. People are often surprised that two women are behind these long, erotic, pornographic art pieces, and I think that’s really special.”

In addition to her work in adult entertainment, Ward’s acting career includes roles in Home Improvement, Killing Mr. Griffin (1997), Dish Dogs (2000), and White Chicks (2004).
