Exciting Updates at Walt Disney World for Water Park Enthusiasts

As the winter season approaches, Walt Disney World has announced some exciting news for water park enthusiasts. Typhoon Lagoon will be closing its doors on February 14 for its annual refurbishment, but fear not, as Blizzard Beach is set to reopen on February 15 after being closed since September 2025. Guests can now look forward to splashing into the waters of this popular water park once again.

In addition to the reopening of Blizzard Beach, seasonal water park passes for both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are now available for purchase. These passes offer unlimited visits to the water parks for the specified season/dates. With prices set at $89 for adults and $83 for children ages 3-9, guests can enjoy endless fun at the parks. However, it’s important to note that there will be block-out dates from March 28, 2026, through April 5, 2026.

Guests who purchase a water park pass will receive added perks for the upcoming year, including a 20% discount on cabana rentals (available as a walk-up deal only) and a round of mini golf. These additional benefits make the water park pass an even more attractive option for those looking to make the most of their Disney World experience.

The water park news comes amidst another major Disney World announcement that has fans buzzing. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be closing its doors forever on March 2, 2026. This iconic ride, which first opened in 1999, will be revamped with a Muppets theme, adding a new twist to the thrilling experience. Although an official opening date for the Muppets coaster has not yet been revealed, anticipation is building for its debut in the spring of 2026.

As the magic of Disney World continues to evolve, guests can look forward to exciting new experiences and attractions coming their way. Whether it’s enjoying a day of fun in the sun at the water parks or embarking on a thrilling adventure on the revamped roller coaster, there’s always something new and exciting to discover at the happiest place on earth.
