Who is Talia Menendez?
Talia Menendez is Erik’s daughter from his marriage to Tammi Menendez. Although Talia isn’t Erik’s biological child, he played a significant role in her upbringing, and she refers to him as her “dad” on social media, where she advocates for his release from prison.
Tammi initially contacted Erik through a letter during his trial, and they quickly developed a close bond.
At that time, Tammi was married to Chuck Saccoman. In 1996, Tammi discovered that Chuck was abusing her 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, and tragically, Chuck died by suicide two days later.

In 2023, singer Roy Rosselló alleged that their father, José Menendez, had abused him when he was 14, prompting Erik and Lyle’s attorneys to file a new petition for an appeal.
Talia noted, “Within 60 days we will hear back from the LA County District Attorney’s office regarding their decision on Erik’s and Lyle’s appeal for freedom filed in May last year.”
