Did Taylor Swift Endorse Kamala Harris?

Taylor Swift’s recent Instagram post has sparked speculation among social media users and her fans regarding a potential endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 U.S. election.

While on her Eras Tour in Europe, Swift shared photos from her show in Warsaw, Poland. One slide shows what appears to be a silhouette of Harris on stage with her.

Fans are buzzing about this subtle gesture, with some interpreting it as a form of endorsement for Harris.

“It really feels like it should be a bigger deal that Taylor Swift left a shadow of Kamala on her Instagram post, but I don’t really see anyone talking about it,” one X user wrote.

Another said, “[Swift] is lowkey endorsing @KamalaHarris on @instagram. There has been no public statement yet besides this picture.”

Has Taylor Swift Publicly Endorsed Kamala Harris?

Swift has not definitively confirmed her endorsement of Harris, but fans are now speculating whether she will drop hints as Harris and Walz kick off their joint campaign trail.

In 2020, the singer publicly endorsed Biden, stating to V Magazine: “I will proudly vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential election.”

Known for her liberal views, Swift has been vocal about supporting pro-choice, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and gun control.

However, an endorsement from Swift, who is currently at the peak of her fame and holds sway over millions of young voters, would be significant as she starts to lead in the national polls.

Kamala’s VP Pick Waltz is Taylor Swift’s Fan

Walz, 60, is a bonafide Swiftie, making that admission publicly in a 2022 tweet.

The governor posted a picture of the family cat Afton with his mouth agape and fangs protruding.

‘Afton after being online all day and not getting Taylor Swift tickets,’ Walz wrote.

In June, Walz signed House File 1989 — a reference to Swift’s birth year and an album with that title — at First Avenue, a popular concert venue in downtown Minneapolis.

The law is intended to guarantee people buying tickets online for concerts, sporting events and other live events in Minnesota more transparency and protection.

The law was introduced because Walz was frustrated at not being able to buy tickets to Swift’s 2023 concert in Minneapolis.

It requires ticket sellers to disclose all fees upfront and prohibits resellers from selling more than one copy of a ticket, among other measures. The law applies to tickets purchased in Minnesota or other states for concerts or other live events held in Minnesota.
