A couple from the U.K. got married in a hospital because the bride, 44-year-old Carla Horton, became paralyzed from the chest down.
This happened five weeks before her wedding was planned.
Carla was on her bachelorette party weekend with friends when she tried a “stunt” and broke her neck.
‘I made a silly misjudgment on my hen do and tried to do a stunt which I think I was just too old to do,” Carla said. This accident left her unable to move from her chest down.
After the stunt, Carla passed out. When she woke up, she realized she couldn’t move. Her friends quickly called an ambulance and told her fiancé, Craig, what happened.
Craig rushed to the hospital and was shocked to see Carla “strapped up.” Doctors moved Carla to different hospitals for scans and surgery to fix her neck.
Despite everything, they decided to get married in the hospital.
