Cassie Ventura Welcomes Third Child After Testifying in Diddy Trial

Cassie Ventura, the singer and model, gave birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine on Tuesday, just about two weeks after she testified as a witness in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial.

Ventura had announced her pregnancy earlier in an Instagram post featuring black-and-white family photos, including her two young daughters.

Her recent time in court involved nearly a week of testimony against Combs, where she detailed allegations of rape and abuse.

Ventura’s civil lawsuit against Combs in 2023 sparked a wave of similar abuse allegations and lawsuits from others, eventually leading to a federal investigation and sex trafficking charges against Combs.

Ventura settled her lawsuit with Combs for $20 million the day after it was filed, a detail she shared during her court testimony. Combs has denied any wrongdoing.

Ventura was more than eight months pregnant when she took the stand on May 13. On her third day of testimony, lead prosecutor Maurene Comey pushed for a swift cross-examination, even predicting that Ventura might give birth over the upcoming weekend.

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian agreed that Ventura’s presence in court should not be needed past May 16, sternly reminding Combs’ defense team that they had agreed to only a day and a half for cross-examining her.

Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, had suggested he might need Ventura to return the following week, which the judge strongly pushed back against, emphasizing that it was understood she would be done testifying that week.
