A rapidly spreading wildfire in California has prompted the cancellation of Jennifer Lopez’s Hollywood premiere for her new movie, Unstoppable.
The premiere was set to take place at the DGA Theater in West Hollywood.
The Pacific Palisades fire, which began around 10:30 a.m., has already destroyed several homes and grown to 772 acres.
Severe Santa Ana winds in Los Angeles and Ventura counties have led to the cancellation of several high-profile events, including the premiere.
Other cancelled events include Universal’s Wolf Man world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre, a cocktail event hosted by Jason Reitman, and Netflix’s Emilia Pérez music cocktail event.
Eastbound Pacific Coast Highway has been closed, and traffic is being diverted to avoid the area.
Unstoppable, which tells the story of wrestler Anthony Robles, stars Lopez as his mother and is set to be released on Prime Video on January 16.
