Buffy Star, Emma Caulfield Opens up About MS Diagnosis

In an interview with Vanity Fair, actress Emma Caulfield opened up about her battle with multiple sclerosis (MS), a neurological condition that affects communication between the brain and body.

Caulfield remembers feeling healthy before noticing symptoms in 2010 while working as an executive producer on the TV show Gigantic. She initially thought it was Bell’s palsy, but an MRI confirmed the MS diagnosis.

The 49-year-old Buffy star also revealed that her father had been living with MS for years, making the diagnosis feel even more real to her.

Despite this, Caulfield kept her illness a secret for fear of it affecting her career and only recently decided to open up about it for the sake of her six-year-old daughter.

Currently, she is trying to stay strong and focus on the present instead of letting fear consume her. Caulfield expressed gratitude for all the support she has received since going public with her MS diagnosis.
