Bella, Gigi Hadid Donated $1m to Palestinian aid effort

The US supermodel sisters, Bella and Gigi Hadid contributed $$1 million to aid Palestinian relief efforts.

The donation came only days after Bella’s public fashion statement at the Cannes Film Festival where she wore a red and white keffiyeh dress associated with Palestinian culture.

The sisters, whose father is Palestinian property tycoon Mohamed Anwar Hadid, have been vocal in their support for the people affected.

Recall that Bella in May via her Instagram handle, revealed that she was “devastated at the loss of the Palestinian people and the lack of empathy coming from the government systems worldwide”.

Bella’s representative told PA news agency, that the donation will be evenly distributed among four humanitarian organizations dedicated to supporting children and families impacted by the Gaza conflict.

The four relief agencies receiving donations from the sisters are Heal Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, World Central Kitchen, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

These organizations offer humanitarian assistance such as food and medical initiatives, aid displaced families, and offer psychological support during the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
