Belichick Interview Drama Continues as Daughter-in-Law Weighs In

The recent interview with former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick on “CBS Sunday Morning” is still causing a stir, and now his daughter-in-law has shared her thoughts.

Jennifer Schmitt, who is married to Belichick’s son Stephen, appeared to criticize Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordan Hudson.

The issue arose when Hudson interrupted CBS News reporter Tony Dokoupil’s question to Belichick about how they met.

This moment in the interview has led to criticism of both Hudson and Belichick. However, some former Patriots players, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, defended the couple, suggesting Hudson might be helping Belichick with public relations.

Comedian Nikki Glaser agreed, commenting that Hudson seemed to be acting as his publicist.

Schmitt questioned Hudson’s actions, writing online that “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview.”

Belichick has since defended Hudson, stating that she was “simply doing her job” to keep the interview focused and claimed that CBS had unfairly edited the footage to create a “false narrative.”

He also said he had told his book publisher that any interviews would focus solely on his book.

This public disagreement adds another layer to the ongoing discussion surrounding Belichick’s interview and his relationship with Hudson, potentially making future family gatherings a bit tense
