Angelina Jolie and her 16-year-old daughter Vivienne have commemorated their collaborative work on the Broadway musical “The Outsiders” with matching tattoos.
In an interview with CR Fashion Book, Jolie revealed, “I got ‘Stay Gold’ with my daughter Viv during our time with The Outsiders.”
The phrase, inspired by a song from the play, holds deep significance for both Jolie, who co-produced the musical, and Vivienne.
“It means so much to us separately and together,” Jolie said.
The actress debuted her wrist tattoo at the play’s opening night in April, though Vivienne’s tattoo placement remains undisclosed.
Angelina Jolie graced the cover of CR Fashion Book’s October issue, opening up about motherhood, her illustrious career, and her emerging fashion brand, Atelier Jolie.
In the interview, Jolie discussed her latest theater endeavor as a lead producer for the Broadway musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s “The Outsiders.”
Her involvement was inspired by her theater-loving daughter, Vivienne, who sparked Jolie’s passion after witnessing the play at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego last year.
Additionally, she mentioned a bird tattoo shared with some of her six children, symbolizing a personal, intimate bond.
“There is also a Bird that I share with some of my children that is personal to us,” she said.
In her discussion, Jolie shared insights on the profound lessons her children have imparted to her, expressing, “There are too many to count or name just one. But the moment you become a parent you are never first again. Your life is for another. It’s a beautiful feeling.”
She also talked about the inception of her fashion label Atelier Jolie, which made its debut in May 2023.
“My intention was to build a space — a home, really — for people to create and be inspired,” she said.
“The house is comprised of artists and designers from around the world, and at the heart is an invitation to re-engage in design and build community.”
Jolie explained that the group is dedicated to “celebrating individuality and embracing the essence of personal style.”
