Actress Anjana Has Died, Cause of Death Revealed

Actress-dancer Anjana, who featured in more than 300 films, died at the age of 60. The National Film Award winner legend made an indelible mark in the Bangladeshi film industry in films like Parineeta, Gangchil, etc.

She died after a short battle with health problems. She had originally been hospitalized with a mild fever, her condition later worsening with a blood infection. Anjana was placed on a ventilator and received intensive care, but suffered several setbacks, which included fluid in her lungs, elevated creatinine levels and a stroke. She died on Jan. 4 at 1:10 a.m. in a hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Anjana was not just a talented and skilled person but also a warm-spirited person. Her colleagues and friends called her a luminous presence who touched the lives of all who encountered her.
