Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Sell Cotswolds Mansion

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have put their Cotswolds mansion on the market for $30 million just days after declaring it their forever home. The couple decided to sell the $20 million property to move to a nearby home that can accommodate Portia’s horses. Ellen explained that when they made the decision to live in the UK full-time, they knew they needed a home with facilities and pastures for the horses.

This isn’t the first time the couple has bought and sold properties quickly. In 2014, they bought a house for $40 million and sold it for $55 million within the same year. Now, they are moving to a new home in the UK, sparking interest from fans about their new setup.

DeGeneres and Rossi met in 2001 but only started dating in 2004 after ending previous relationships. They tied the knot in August 2008 and have been together ever since. Following the 2024 U.S. presidential election, the couple left all their California properties behind to move to the UK, citing the election results as the reason for their departure.

Ellen shared that they received texts of disbelief when Trump won the election and decided to stay in the UK permanently. They moved in November and are enjoying their new lifestyle, with Portia bringing her horses along and Ellen taking care of chickens. They seem to have embraced the change and are settled in their new surroundings.

Their decision to sell their Cotswolds mansion adds to their history of property transactions, showcasing their penchant for moving and adapting to new environments. Despite the quick turnover of homes, Ellen and Portia seem content with their choices and are looking forward to their next chapter in the UK.
