“Dancing with the Stars” alum Cheryl Burke is hitting back at online critics, shutting down “cruel” rumors about her changing appearance.
The 41-year-old dancer took to social media to directly address speculation that she’s on Ozempic, has had plastic surgery, or is sick.
“I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick, I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow lift,” Burke stated in a video shared on TikTok and Instagram.
She expressed her frustration with the “level of projection” and “accusations,” calling them “shocking and hurtful,” especially coming from other women.
Burke, who has been in the public eye since she was 21, acknowledged that her body and face have changed over two decades.
“My face has changed because I’ve changed,” she said, lamenting comments that say, “we miss the old Cheryl.”
She criticized the negativity and the way women “tear down other women, while pretending it’s from concern.”
Burke made it clear that her social media space is not for those who “speculate, compare or demand answers that you’re just not entitled to.”
The “Dance Moms” star has previously spoken about her struggle with body dysmorphia, a condition she’s been “still healing” from.
She recalled facing harsh comments about her weight early in her career, with some claiming she was “too fat for TV.”
