Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp is continuing to keep fans updated on her cancer treatment.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 6th, Mellencamp shared a photo of herself wearing a blonde wig and explained that she sometimes chooses to wear it when she goes out.
In her caption, she wrote about the “day to day decision of wig versus no wig,” admitting that on “crying days” she tends to choose the wig.
She described the treatment for her stage 4 brain and lung tumors as having “extreme highs and lows.”
Mellencamp also used her post to encourage her followers to get annual check-ups, noting that it is Melanoma Awareness Month.
Several fellow Bravo celebrities, including Jackie Mark Goldschneider, Scheana Shay, and Dolores Catania, left supportive comments on her post.
Mellencamp first announced in February that her melanoma had spread to her lungs and brain.
However, in April, she shared positive news that her tumors had “significantly shrunk” and that doctors believe her treatment is working.
She hopes to be cancer-free after her final two immunotherapy sessions. Last month, she made her first public appearance since her diagnosis at a gala, debuting her shaved head.
