Musicians Azealia Banks and Bebe Rexha recently had a public disagreement online following Banks’ comments about Rexha’s look at the Met Gala 2025.
Rexha wore a black dress with a low neckline and a diamond necklace to the event.
Banks, however, shared her opinion on social media, writing that Rexha’s appearance gave her “hormonal birth control implant or something” vibes.
She further suggested Rexha needed to have an implant or shot removed.
Rexha responded to the comments, suggesting Banks “might wanna jump on some type of therapy.”
She mentioned that the antidepressant Lexapro had worked for her and encouraged Banks to seek help for “deep-rooted sadness and chaos.”
Rexha later stated she was going to enjoy her day and hoped for an end to the exchange.
Rexha has previously spoken about her struggles with PCOS and infertility and has expressed frustration with people commenting on her weight.
In a past post, she revealed a pregnancy loss and asked people to be more considerate when discussing others’ bodies.
Despite Rexha’s attempt to move on, Banks continued the online exchange with lengthy posts. She commented on Lexapro, claiming it can cause weight gain and suggesting Rexha should stop taking it.
In addition to her remarks about Rexha, Banks also made critical comments about the Met Gala looks of other celebrities, including Sabrina Carpenter and Katy Perry’s AI-generated image.
