Is Tamera Mowry Spending Christmas with Twin Tia Despite ‘not close’ anymore ?

Tamera Mowry-Housley is gearing up for a holiday season full of family gatherings. In a recent interview with People, published on 1 November, she shared her excitement about her family’s upcoming plans, especially following her twin sister Tia Mowry’s recent comments that went viral, where she mentioned that they’re “not as close” anymore.

“My husband [Adam Housley] and I have been doing this since we first got together, about 20 years ago. We start on Christmas Eve, inviting everyone to our house—people who may not have anywhere to go or whose family isn’t around. We bake cookies and have a small gathering; it’s intimate, but it’s special,” Tamera explained.

She added, “Every Christmas, we invite our entire family. This year, my sister, my brothers, my mum, my dad—just about everyone—is invited. We make Christmas beef, usually roast beef with mashed potatoes and green beans, plus a special Christmas drink. We just enjoy each other’s company.”

For the first time since 2015, Tamera is also expecting both of her parents, Timothy and Darlene, who divorced after 40 years of marriage, to join the celebration. She expressed her enthusiasm: “I’m really, really excited about this Christmas because our entire family is invited. It’ll be the first time we’re all together in my house with my mum and dad. I’m really looking forward to it. I’m freaking out!”

In September, a clip from Tia’s reality show, My Next Act, went viral, where Tia said she and Tamera weren’t “close.” However, Tia later clarified, explaining to E! News that her comment was more about physical distance than their actual relationship: “As siblings, we grow up, get married, and take on different roles. Tamera is a wife and mother, as am I, and my brother Tavior is also fulfilling his roles.”

She continued, “What I meant is that as siblings, we’re not as accessible to each other, which can be both beautiful and challenging. Family is amazing, and their support is invaluable, but as we get older, it may not always be easily accessible. That’s why friendships and community are just as important.”

Tia, who shares children Cree, 13, and Cairo, 6, with her ex-husband Cory Hardrict, acknowledged the reality of living in the spotlight: “There’s nothing to address. We’re in this industry, and it’s normal for people to misinterpret things. It’s just part of our life, and that’s okay.”
