A few weeks into the experiment on the ninth series of Married At First Sight UK, producers introduced new intruder cast members, including Hannah Norburn and Stephen Nolson.
Although viewers have just witnessed their wedding on TV, many are eager to find out how their experience unfolded during the experiment and whether they stayed together after filming concluded.
Are Hannah and Stephen still together?
Similar to the other cast members, it’s against the show’s rules to reveal whether they are still together while the series is airing.
However, a significant indication that things may not have worked out for the couple during the experiment is that they do not follow each other on Instagram, unlike many of their fellow castmates.
Before her wedding episode aired, Hannah posted a photo from her big day with Stephen but did not mention him personally, instead expressing gratitude to her friends.
She wrote: “This is where the adventure begins’Sneak peeks at tonight’s @e4mafsuk episode – the one where I get MARRIED!
“Can not wait to watch the magical day unfold & feel so unbelievably grateful to have the most incredible group of friends beside me every step of the way & being such a massive part of my day & journey – adore every single one of you!
“Shortly, Stephen posted his promotional photo with Hannah before the wedding aired, a fan commented, “Are you still together? That’s what we all wanna know! ”
Stephen quickly responded, “You’ll have to wait and see.”
What happened on their wedding day?
Hannah and Stephen’s wedding first aired on E4 on Monday, October 7th, making them the second latecomers in the cast to get married.
Things started off well, as both found each other attractive, even sharing a playful kiss after their vows.
During their wedding photoshoot, they were quite chatty, discussing their ages, jobs, and interests, but Stephen seemed to have something else on his mind the entire time.
At the reception, Stephen revealed to Hannah that he is a father of four, which left her visibly shocked.
“The fact that Stephen has four children is raising a bit of a flag in my head – does he want any more? It’s massively important that anybody I end up with wants children”, she said.
However, Stephen’s response seemed to reassure Hannah when he said, “If I don’t have any more children now, I’d be happy. But if I meet someone I fall in love with who wants children, I would absolutely have children. I’d be happy either way.”
Later in the episode, Hannah shared in a VT, “Stephen being open to having children – especially having four – is important to me. He’s been really sweet with me; he’s a nice boy, he’s cute! We’ve matched really well.”
What happened on their honeymoon?
Hannah and Stephen went to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon, and while it started off enjoyable, things quickly soured.
They got into several heated arguments, with Stephen accusing Hannah of not compromising and creating problems out of nothing, which led her to walk away and spend the night apart.
The next day, they met up and talked things over, agreeing they wanted to enjoy the rest of their honeymoon.
Despite this, Stephen chose to stay in a separate room again, leaving Hannah feeling “mugged off,” “embarrassed,” and “rejected,” which caused her to storm away.
The following morning, both were uncertain about continuing their relationship and admitted they needed time to think.
They met up that night, where Stephen expressed his desire to take baby steps to save their relationship, which didn’t sit well with Hannah.
