The family disclosed this five days after Taylor Rousseau’s husband, Cameron Grigg announced the news on October 5, sharing a heartfelt tribute to the social media star with a long, emotional message, describing his wife’s passing as “sudden and unexpected.”

He also mentioned that she remains in the hospital for organ donation.

No further details regarding her death were provided at that time.

Taylor Rousseau died due to complications stemming from asthma and Addison’s disease, as stated by a family representative.

A source close to the family informed PEOPLE that Taylor’s death resulted from a severe asthma attack and its complications.

The TikToker’s sisters, Trinity Rousseau and Bailey Rousseau Wagner, also took to Instagram to pay tribute to Taylor’s life.

Trinity mentioned that her sister passed away “barely short” of her 19th birthday.

Bailey followed up her initial Instagram post with a black-and-white photo of Taylor on her wedding day in August 2023.

The caption provided more details about Taylor’s organ donation honor walk, which was set for 9:30 AM on Monday, October 7, following her death.

“She’s always had hopes of leaving her mark on this world, but in her wildest dreams I don’t think she ever would’ve imagined her legacy being carried on this way.

“And I know that she wouldn’t have wanted it any other way,” Bailey wrote, adding, “A friend said, ‘her “influence” has only just begun’ and that couldn’t be more true.”

Taylor Rousseau Grigg opened up about her health challenges in a TikTok video on August 8.

She informed her 1.4million followers that she was now “not healthy and in good shape” recalling when she was once been “very althetic”.

However, the influencer didn’t provide specifics about her diagnoses but she revealed that the health challenges began after tying the knot with her husband in August 2023.

”You’re seeing me sick for the whole time that we’re married and not finding out what was wrong until this year, I barely found out what was wrong with me. I was struggling that whole time feeling like I was going to die,” she said.

” It just sucks because I’m 24 years old, I should be in my prime”, she said.
