Will There Be A Pirates Of The Caribbean Return

Jerry Bruckheimer, the creative force behind the Pirates of The Caribbean films, recently revealed that they are working on a new script for an upcoming return. While they had initially considered two different scripts, only one is moving forward, with Margot Robbie still in the lead role.

Initially linked to a female-led Pirates reboot, Robbie’s involvement in the project was uncertain. However, recent developments suggest that her star power is too valuable to let go, leading to a possible merging of the two scripts.

Ted Elliott, co-writer of several Pirates films, is also working on the script for the new movie. Bruckheimer admitted that bringing the Pirates world to life on screen has been a challenging process, requiring the team to find the right approach to ensure its success.

While the last film in the franchise was released in 2017, fans will be delighted to hear that Johnny Depp may make a return as Captain Jack Sparrow. Bruckheimer hinted that Depp is open to reprising his iconic role if the script meets his expectations, although no official confirmation has been provided.
