Michelle Williams has a valid reason for not joining her former Destiny’s Child members on the Kamala Harris campaign trail.
In a Tuesday, Oct. 29 episode of Sherri, the 45-year-old actress and singer explained her absence from the rally for the 60-year-old Democratic presidential nominee.
She couldn’t attend Harris’ campaign event in Houston on Friday, Oct. 25, because she is currently starring in Death Becomes Her on Broadway.
When host Sherri Shepherd mentioned that people often can’t think of the other Destiny’s Child members without her, Williams acknowledged this but noted that their physical proximity can be a challenge.
However, she emphasized that the trio “are together more than people think.”
Recall that on Oct. 25, Beyoncé, alongside her mother Tina Knowles, Rowland, and country music legend Willie Nelson, attended Harris’ rally in her hometown.
After Nelson, 91, took the stage, the “Halo” singer energetically introduced Harris, the Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election.
“We are so happy to be standing here on this stage as proud, country, Texas women, supporting and celebrating the one and only Vice President Kamala Harris,” Beyoncé expressed to the crowd.
She described Harris as “the woman who’s been advocating for what this country truly needs right now — unity.
