Despite what fans might believe, everything is fine between Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber.
Following some concern when Justin appeared to unfollow Hailey on Instagram on January 21, he clarified the situation.
Initially, fans were worried that this indicated trouble in their relationship, but Justin quickly set the record straight.
In a now-deleted Instagram Story, he explained that the unfollowing was likely due to someone hacking his account, insisting he would never intentionally unfollow Hailey.
“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” he wrote. “S–t is getting suss out here.”
Justin has since re-followed Hailey, who reportedly never unfollowed him in the first place.
The couple received support from fans, many of whom were shocked at the thought that he would unfollow her.
Although Justin’s unfollowing of his wife on Instagram was unintentional, it followed closely after he unfollowed Usher, a decision he has not yet reversed.
Since their marriage in 2018, there have been ongoing rumors about Justin and Hailey’s relationship being troubled.
In July 2024, Hailey revealed to W Magazine that these rumors have been particularly painful for her, especially during her pregnancy with their son, Jack Blues.
“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” she said. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy.”
Just two weeks before the unfollowing incident, on January 4, Justin shared a blurry selfie of himself and Hailey enjoying time outdoors, indicating they were in a good place.
Hailey has not yet addressed the unfollowing situation.
