Lara who is the wife of Donald Trump’s son Eric has been referred to as his new ‘right hand woman’ by various US media outlets.
Here’s all you need to know about Trump’s new ‘right hand woman’.
Who is Lara Trump?
Lara Trump is married to Donald Trump’s third son, Eric.
The couple got married in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2014, selecting the same venue where Donald and Melania had their wedding.
They first met six years earlier through mutual friends and developed a romantic relationship over a few months.
They share two children together, Eric Luke, who is seven years old, and Carolina Dorothy, who is five.
Lara graduated with a degree in communications from North Carolina State University after completing high school.
Before entering the political scene, Lara worked as a journalist with Fox News but left the network to join her father-in-law’s campaign when he announced his re-election bid in 2022.
Currently, she serves as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee and delivered the keynote address at the Republican National Convention (RNC).
She currently hosts the podcast as well as being heavily involved in her father-in-law’s political campaign.
Lara has also been instrumental in reaching out to female voters in the US, leading the “Women for Trump” rally while both Ivanka and Melania were absent.
In July, she gave a speech at the convention and spoke warmly of her father-in-law.
“Our family has faced our fair share of death threats… none of that prepares you as a daughter-in-law to watch in real time someone try to kill a person you love,” she said.
