Francesca Amiker was born 6 May 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Ellaway D. Amiker III and Francina Whiteside.
They met at South Carolina State University in 1977 and dated for two years until after graduation. The pair split for a number of years until they reunited and have been married for 40 years.
Amiker has two siblings; a brother named after their father, who is a digital marketing architect, and a sister called Franjellica.
Career
Amiker has travelled all over the country for a successful career: starting from Atlanta, she’s moved between Nashville, Tennessee and New York for gigs as assistant and web producer.
She’s met stars face to face during her job as red carpet correspondent for BET in 2011 and 2012; when she landed the role on 11Alive, she interviewed Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey within her first month.
Blessing Iyamadiken loves the art of storytelling and enjoys creating all types of content from news to entertainment. She is also a feminist and very passionate about Gender Equality. In her spare time, she loves to read or binge on Netflix.
