Where To Stream ‘Wicked’ Movie: Available On New Year’s Eve

The popular “Wicked” movie, which has captivated people’s interest will soon be accessible for home viewing.

Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the adaptation, announced on Thursday that an extended version of the hit film will be available for streaming or rental on select digital platforms starting on New Year’s Eve.

The film tells the story of two witches, Elphaba, portrayed by Cynthia Erivo, and Glinda, played by Ariana Grande, who take different paths following a transformative encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which occurs before Dorothy Gale’s arrival in Oz.

“Wicked” is based on the Tony-winning Broadway musical of the same name, originally adapted from Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch.”
