What is the Cause of 16 and Pregnant’ Alum Autumn Crittendon’s Death?

The cause of death for “16 and Pregnant” alum Autumn Crittendon has been determined to be “toxicity from fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl.”

The Virginia Department of Health confirmed to TMZ on Monday that the “combination of drugs” led to the accidental death of the 27-year-old.

Crittendon, whose legal last name was Oxley, passed away on July 20 after being found “unresponsive” at her home.

According to the Michigan Poison & Drug Information Center, Para-fluorofentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid analgesic initially developed for research in the 1960s.

Henrico County Police Department revealed that paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident was classified as a death investigation, with detectives collaborating with the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Crittendon, a mother to 10-year-old son Drake, was found by her stepfather at their shared family home.

She had two more children, including a boy approaching age 5 and a girl nearing 2.
