What cosmetic treatments has Eva Mendes tried and regretted at 50?

The Hitch actress celebrated her milestone birthday in March and, in a recent interview with The Times UK, shared that she still feels “f—king sexy at times,” partly thanks to Ryan Gosling, with whom she shares two children.

“The way my man looks at me is just … sometimes I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’” she told the outlet. “That might not sit well with some people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he gives me.”

She continued, “There are so many things that can make me feel sexy, and I’d say I feel sexy more often than not. I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.”

Mendes also admitted to trying various cosmetic procedures over the years. “I’m not afraid to try things that are safe, because most of these little treatments are reversible,” she said. “If you get Botox and don’t like it, it goes away. There have been times when I’ve regretted something, but you just wait it out.”

Recently, the Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries author said she’s noticed her jaw looking “funky” and is considering getting a laser treatment using the latest technology.

Overall, Mendes is embracing this new chapter of her life after her milestone birthday. “It was totally fine. It’s just that the number sounds crazy,” she remarked about the big day in March. “I feel like a girl inside and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m not a girl anymore.’”

However, she did admit to feeling a bit more forgetful with age, adding, “I forget everything. I think that’s part of being 50. I think I’m facing hormonal changes.”

Since getting married in 2016, Mendes and Gosling have kept their relationship largely private, and the same goes for their two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, who are homeschooled. According to the interview, social media and smartphones are also forbidden for the girls.

“Letting my kid go on the internet and saying, ‘Oh, search something,’ is the same as telling her, ‘Go down the street in the middle of the night, you’ll be fine,’” Mendes explained. “I know that sounds extreme, but that’s how I feel.”
