Trump Picks His Son’s Fiancee Kimberly Guilfoyle As US Ambassador to Greece

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has selected Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host, to serve as ambassador to Greece.

Guilfoyle has been engaged to Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., since late 2020.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump referred to her as a close friend and ally, asserting that she is “perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece” and to promote U.S. interests in defense, trade, and economic innovation.

She expressed her excitement about the nomination in a post on X, stating she was “honored” to accept.

Guilfoyle is not the first appointee with family connections; in November, Trump had already intended to nominate Charles Kushner, his son-in-law’s father, as ambassador to France, and Massad Boulos, his daughter Tiffany’s father-in-law, as a senior adviser on Arab and Middle East issues.

Guilfoyle was previously married to Gavin Newsom, the Democratic governor of California, from which they divorced in 2006.
