Trader Joe’s, founded by Joe Coulombe in Pasadena, California in 1967, has now expanded to over 560 locations across 42 states and Washington, D.C. Surprisingly, Trader Joe’s does not have any international locations.
One of the most notable Trader Joe’s stores in the country can be found on 72nd Street and Broadway in New York City, covering a spacious 30,000 square feet across two levels. On the flip side, the smallest Trader Joe’s is nestled in South Pasadena, California, measuring just 4,000 square feet.
