Trace Adkins: Surviving Life’s Greatest Challenges

Trace Adkins, the towering country music legend, has faced his fair share of life-threatening situations throughout his career, long before his rise to fame in the music industry. From almost losing his legs while working on an oil rig to getting stranded in a hurricane, Adkins has truly survived it all.

However, it was on a fateful day in 1994, 32 years ago, when Adkins faced his most harrowing experience yet. Taking a bullet straight through his heart and both lungs during a domestic dispute with his ex-wife, Julie Curtis, he was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency open-heart surgery.

Surprisingly, Adkins chose not to press charges against his ex-wife, despite the serious nature of his injuries. Reflecting on the incident, he shared in an interview that while the physical pain from his numerous near-death experiences never bothered him, it was the emotional scars that left the deepest impact on him.

Today, Adkins has moved on from his past relationship and found happiness with his wife, Canadian actress Victoria Pratt, whom he married in 2019. He recently announced his 30th Anniversary Tour, celebrating three decades in the music industry since the release of his debut album, “Dreamin’ Out Loud.”

Adkins’ tour kicks off on Jan. 13 at the Oxford Performing Arts Center in Alabama and is set to conclude on Sept. 19 at the Hollywood Casino in West Virginia. For more details on tour dates and tickets, visit his official website.

As Trace Adkins continues to make waves in the music industry with his timeless talent and resilience, his story serves as a reminder of the strength and determination that have propelled him through life’s toughest challenges.
