Tool Rocks Spark Arena with Unforgettable Performance

The crowd at New Zealand’s Spark Arena was in for a treat as rock band Tool delivered an unforgettable performance, marking their return to the stage since 2020. With two shows in Auckland, the four-piece group took fans on a nostalgic journey, performing some of their iconic hits from the ‘90s. Frontman Maynard James Keenan commanded the stage alongside guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey, and bassist Justin Chancellor.

The first day saw the band perform 13 songs, including “Crawl Away” from their 1993 debut album Undertow, a song they hadn’t performed live since 1998. Additionally, they brought back tracks like “H.” and “Disposition” from Ænima and Lateralus, respectively, songs that hadn’t been performed since 2002. The set list also featured hits like “The Grudge,” “Fear Inoculum,” “Rosetta Stoned,” and more, concluding the show with “Invincible.”

On the second day, Tool surprised fans by performing “Prison Sex” from their debut studio album, a song they hadn’t played live in 23 years. They also brought back “Intension” from their 2006 album 10,000 Days, a track not performed live since 2014. The 90-minute set ended with the band’s encore from “Mockingbeat,” featuring “Hand of Doom,” “Invincible,” and “Vicarious.”

Following their successful shows in Auckland, Tool is continuing their tour through December, with upcoming performances in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Japan, and a finale in Honolulu, Hawaii. Overall, the band’s performances left a lasting impact and showcased their musical prowess to fans around the world.
