Tinder Is Adding New Safety Features For Dates That Go Wrong

Most people are usually scared of going on dates with people they meet via online dating apps like Tinder. However, that is about to change for Tinder users. Tinder is adding new safety features for its users.

This new feature includes Noonlight, a panic button which alerts safety authorities if something goes wrong on a date; Photo Verification, and an accessible in-app Safety Center.

How Does Noonlight Work?

Users will trigger an alarm via the Noonlight. They will be asked to enter a code, if they do not enter the code, they will receive a text from Noonlight’s dispatchers. If they don not respond to this message, Noonlight will call them, and if they do not answer, or the user confirms that they need help, Noonlight gets in touch with the police.

How Photo Verification Works:

This feature allows people to self authenticate through a series of real time posed selfies. These selfies are then compared to existing profile photos using human-assisted AI technology. Verified profiles will display a blue check mark to let other members know that their authenticity can be trusted.
