Indieheads and garage band enthusiasts, rejoice! The Knockdown Center in Queens, New York, recently unveiled the lineup for the OUTLINE Festival, an evening dedicated to punk rock and garage bands. The highlight of the event? Times New Viking, the iconic American lo-fi indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio, taking the stage together for the first time in a decade. For fans, this marks a long-awaited reunion, as the last time the band played in New York City was back at Le Poisson Rouge in June 2012.
Scheduled for next March, Times New Viking will share the stage with The Spits, Prison Affair, SNÕÕPER, and The Serfs. Comprised of Jared Phillips on guitar, Adam Elliott on drums, and Beth Murphy on keyboards, the band made waves with their debut album “Dig Yourself” in 2005, along with four more studio albums released between 2007 and 2011, as well as EPs and singles.
Following a hiatus after their 2012 release “Over & Over” due to geographical distance, the band regrouped in 2016 for a show at 4th and 4th Fest in Columbus. While each member has pursued individual projects, the excitement surrounding Times New Viking remains palpable among fans.
The OUTLINE Festival on March 6, 2026, promises a night to remember at the Knockdown Center in Flushing. Tickets for the music extravaganza are available for purchase on DICE. Join in on the celebration of punk rock and garage bands – don’t miss this epic reunion with Times New Viking!
