The final night of Season 28 Knockouts on “The Voice” brought together coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Niall Horan as they chose two of their teammates to compete in a sing-off. What made this round unique was that the artists got to choose their own songs, giving America a glimpse into their musical identities. With no Saves or Steals available, only the winning artist would progress to the Playoffs.
This season, the Mega Mentors were Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Joe Walsh and Grammy Award-winning artist Zac Brown. Brown, known for his work with Zac Brown Band, made his debut on “The Voice” by joining Michael and Snoop to coach their teams, while Walsh teamed up with Niall and Reba to mentor their remaining artists.
Following the Knockouts, artists like Aubrey Nicole, Ava Nat, Ralph Edwards, Aiden Ross, Max Chambers, Toni Lorene, DEK of Hearts, Rob Cole, Ryan Mitchell, Trinity, Aaron Nichols, Jazz McKenzie, and Mindy Miller emerged as winners and advanced to the Playoffs.
A new addition to the Knockouts this season was the “Mic Drop Button,” where each coach could recognize an outstanding performance by pressing a button. Viewers at home would then vote for the ultimate Mic Drop winner, who would earn the chance to perform at The Rose Parade Presented by Honda on Jan. 1, 2026. Michael, Niall, and Reba all used their buttons, leaving Snoop as the only coach yet to do so.
In a series of intense showdowns, artists like Peyton Kyle, Kirbi, and YOSHIHANAA emerged victorious, showcasing their talent and leaving a lasting impression on their coaches. Snoop particularly singled out YOSHIHANAA, stating that she had the star quality to potentially win the entire competition.
As the Knockouts drew to a close, the stage was set for the remaining artists to face off in the upcoming Playoffs. With the competition heating up, each artist must bring their A-game to secure their spot in the next round. With the unique dynamics of this season and the undeniable talent on display, the journey to discover the next Voice champion promises to be an exciting one.
