The Fatal Shooting of LaKeyshia Timmons in Milwaukee

A tragic incident in Milwaukee shook the community when LaKeyshia Timmons, a mother of eight, was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend, Ronald Fuller. Fuller claimed that he was instructed by the “devil” to commit this heinous act. Despite pleading guilty to second-degree reckless homicide, Fuller was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.

During the sentencing, Timmons’ family members expressed their grief and sorrow over their loss. Timmons’ daughter, Latanilia, spoke about the pain of losing her mother and how her absence still echoes loudly in their lives. Even Timmons’ mother struggles with the reality of never hearing her daughter’s voice again.

The fatal shooting took place on April 1, 2024, when Timmons was shot twice in the abdomen by Fuller. One of Timmons’ sons witnessed the tragedy unfold, hearing multiple gunshots and finding his mother lying on the ground outside their home. Video footage captured the heartbreaking moment when Timmons pleaded with Fuller before he fatally shot her.

After the shooting, Fuller told detectives that he was influenced by the “devil” to go to Timmons’ residence. He claimed that his intention was not to kill her but to wound her in order to “take care of the kids.” However, his actions resulted in a tragic loss that devastated the family and the community.

Before the shooting, Timmons had obtained full custody of her three children shared with Fuller, aiming to move on from the abuse and trauma she had endured in their relationship. A GoFundMe page set up by her daughter highlighted Timmons’ strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
