As The Beach Boys prepare for their highly anticipated tour this year, they are keeping the momentum going with exciting announcements. The legendary ‘60s rock band recently shared news of a special live event at the Grammy Museum in celebration of their new box set, “We Gotta Groove.”
Scheduled for Feb. 12 at the Museum’s Clive Davis Theater, the event will reunite the Brother Studios engineers, the core team behind The Beach Boys’ prolific mid-1970s era. Additionally, a special guest is expected to join the discussion, adding to the anticipation surrounding the event.
Earlier this year, the band announced the upcoming release of “We Gotta Groove: The Brother Studio Years.” This comprehensive box set includes the newly remastered version of their 21st studio album, “Love You,” along with the long-shelved “Adult/Child” album and material from the “15 Big Ones” sessions. With 73 tracks, including 35 unreleased recordings and 22 newly mixed tracks, the collection is centered on the band’s creative peak from 1976 to 1977.
The box set is set to be available on Feb. 13, adding to the excitement surrounding The Beach Boys’ upcoming activities. Along with the box set release, the band is hitting the road for a series of international tours, with performances scheduled in California, New Mexico, Arizona, and the UK in celebration of the 60th anniversary of their album “Pet Sounds.”
Led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, The Beach Boys are set to perform at various venues throughout the upcoming months, including shows at the Alameda County Fair in California and a special performance at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London. With a range of tour dates spanning from February to September, fans can look forward to experiencing the iconic sound of The Beach Boys live in concert.
The Beach Boys’ enduring legacy in the music industry continues to captivate audiences, making their upcoming tour a must-see event for fans old and new. Don’t miss your chance to witness this legendary band perform live and celebrate their iconic contributions to the world of music.
