Taco Bell has once again delighted fans with new test menu items, including a spinoff of a fan-favorite. After teasing “big flavor” menu items in select locations, the international fast food joint is now exploring even more new test categories, giving fans plenty to talk about.
In the latest round of testing, Taco Bell is experimenting with Mexican Pizza Empanadas, Crunchadilla, and refreshing Refrescas drinks. The Mexican Pizza Empanadas, inspired by the cult-favorite menu item temporarily discontinued and then brought back in 2022, are currently being tested in Phoenix, Arizona. These bite-sized, golden-fried empanadas are filled with seasoned beef, a melty three-cheese blend, and a bold, zesty sauce, making for a delicious snack option.
Another exciting addition to the test menu is the Crunchadilla, described as “melty, crispy perfection” in both Classic and Sriracha Chicken versions. The Classic Chicken Crunchadilla features creamy jalapeño sauce, grilled marinated all-white-meat chicken, reduced-fat sour cream, and a trio of cheeses, all folded in a warm, grilled flour tortilla. Meanwhile, the Sriracha Chicken Crunchadilla adds a kick of spice with Taco Bell’s Sriracha sauce. These mouthwatering creations can be found in select restaurants in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In addition to these savory options, Taco Bell is also testing two new Refrescas drinks in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Limonada Refresca boasts real freeze-dried fruit pieces and lemonade infused with sweet or tangy fruit flavors like Strawberry Passionfruit, Mango Peach, and Dragonfruit Strawberry. On the other hand, the Dream Refresca offers a smooth, creamy take on refreshment, mixed with fruit pieces, lemonade, and a touch of vanilla creamer in flavors like Strawberry or Pineapple Mango.
With these new test items hitting participating U.S. locations for a limited time, fans are encouraged to act quickly to try them out. And for those outside the testing areas, Taco Bell has also introduced new menu items nationwide, including a comforting Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla and three fan-inspired creations, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
