Tabitha from Bewitched Eyes Reality TV Venture

Erin Murphy, best known for portraying Tabitha in the iconic 1960s sitcom Bewitched, is eyeing a new venture that could potentially reinvent her public image. In a recent interview with Australian outlet New Idea, the 61-year-old former child star revealed her aspiration to take on reality TV roles, a far cry from her nostalgic Tabitha days.

“I’d love to step into the world of reality television by participating in shows like Aussie I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here or Dancing with the Stars,” Murphy disclosed. “The challenge of being out of my comfort zone and embracing the unpredictability of reality TV excites me.”

Having played Tabitha in over 100 episodes of Bewitched from 1966 to 1972, Murphy also expressed her enthusiasm for a potential reboot of the beloved comedy series. “If given the opportunity to appear on the reboot, I would absolutely say yes! Being included in some capacity would be a fun nod to the original Bewitched, pleasing fans of the classic show,” she shared.

In the realm of reality television, Murphy has previously made cameo appearances on shows like RuPaul’s Drag U and Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, as documented on IMDb. However, the reality shows she now has her sights set on are major platforms that her childhood friends, such as Brady Bunch stars Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams, have previously competed on.

Both McCormick and Williams have graced the stage of Dancing with the Stars, along with I’m a Celebrity, where Williams, now 71, participated in the most recent season of the jungle-themed reality series in 2026.

Reflecting on her past encounters with reality TV stars, Murphy shared a candid Instagram photo following an encounter with Dancing with the Stars celebrities McCormick and Kate Flannery. “Dancing with the stars? More like hanging with my friends,” she captioned the snapshot.

In a previous interview with Fox News, Murphy highlighted the unique bond she shares with fellow former child stars, emphasizing the shared experiences and understanding that come with childhood fame. “We kind of have this secret group that we’re all in, so I’m friends with all of them,” she revealed. “The Bradys, the Waltons, and people from Little House on the Prairie.”

In addition to The Brady Bunch stars, Murphy’s close circle includes friends such as Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert, who has also graced the stage of Dancing with the Stars.

Erin Murphy’s potential foray into reality TV promises to be a captivating new chapter in her storied career, blending nostalgia with a contemporary twist that could reintroduce her to audiences in a fresh, dynamic light.
