Sublime Announces Me Gusta Festival and 30th Anniversary Shows

Sublime, the iconic ’90s band, is gearing up for a monumental year with the announcement of their first-ever festival. The Me Gusta Festival is set to take place on May 9 at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas. Alongside Sublime, the lineup boasts popular bands like Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and more.

The festival’s name, taken from Sublime’s radio hit “Caress Me Down,” perfectly encapsulates the band’s signature blend of punk, reggae, and rock. This event promises to be a celebration of the band’s unique sound and enduring legacy.

But the festival is just one part of Sublime’s exciting year ahead. With additional dates scheduled to be announced, fans can expect more opportunities to catch this legendary band live, including a performance in Oregon on June 27.

In addition to the festival, Sublime will also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album with shows at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colo. This milestone is a testament to the band’s enduring popularity and influence in the music industry.

Despite the tragic loss of frontman Bradley Nowell in 1996, Sublime has continued to captivate audiences with their hit songs like “What I Got,” “Santeria,” and “Wrong Way.” The surviving members of the band, along with Nowell’s son Jakob, have reformed as Sublime and have been performing under that name since late 2023.

Sublime’s journey is one marked by both tragedy and triumph, making their upcoming festival and anniversary performances all the more poignant. As fans eagerly await these events, one thing is certain – the music of Sublime continues to resonate with audiences, proving that their legacy is truly timeless.
