Netflix and McDonald’s have teamed up to create an exciting new Happy Meal for fans of the hit show, Stranger Things. The collaboration is in celebration of the newly released animated spinoff, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85.
Even though Stranger Things concluded with Season 5, there are still untold stories within the show’s universe. The Tales From ’85 series delves into the time between the second and third seasons, where the main kids, along with some new faces, face off against terrifying monsters in Hawkins. This unexpected threat emerges despite Eleven supposedly closing the gate to the Upside Down in Season 2.
In response to the mystery, the kids, led by Dustin Henderson, form the Hawkins Investigators Club to uncover answers and defeat the new foe. Now, they are enlisting the help of McDonald’s fans too. By scanning the QR code on every Happy Meal, guests can enter an interactive game and assist the gang in saving Hawkins once again.
The Tales From ’85 Happy Meals feature a custom Stranger Things: Tales From ’85-themed Happy Meal box, one of 12 collectible character toys from the show, a Stranger Things activity book, and the QR code for fans to engage in the action.
The Happy Meals will launch in the United States on May 5 and gradually become available at participating locations worldwide. From Canada to Brazil, Argentina to Mexico, and beyond, fans in various countries will have the chance to enjoy the special collectibles and interactive game inspired by Stranger Things: Tales From ’85.
