After a four-year hiatus from U.K. performances, The Afghan Whigs are back with a six-date run starting on September 19 in Leeds. This marks the beginning of a journey that will take them through Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and finally wrapping up in Brighton on September 26. Tickets go on sale on April 17, with a fan presale already underway, and singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt will be joining them as support for all six concerts.
The band’s U.K. tour follows their previously announced North American leg, set to kick off on April 25 in Woodstock, N.Y. Mercury Rev will be accompanying them on all dates across major cities such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, and California.
In addition to the tour excitement, The Afghan Whigs have also released a new song titled “House of I,” their first since the 2022 album “How Do You Burn?” Frontman Greg Dulli shared that the track was born out of sessions in New Orleans and described it as an “up-tempo” addition to their discography.
