Sold Out on You

The credits of the global hit film KPop Demon Hunters may feature new names for many viewers, but the talented actors who lent their voices to the characters in the animated sensation already had successful careers onscreen in both the U.S. and Korea. One familiar face among them is actor Ken Jeong, known for his role as Bobby, the manager of Huntrix. Likewise, Daniel Dae Kim (Healer Han) and Yunjin Kim (Celine) previously portrayed husband and wife Jin-Soo and Sun-Hwa Kwon in the acclaimed series Lost. Yunjin Kim has also made appearances in various Korean projects and Season 1 of XO, Kitty.

It’s no surprise that Ahn Hyo-seop, who voiced Jinu in KPop Demon Hunters, has found success in Korean television and is highly sought after in the industry. His performance in 2022’s Business Proposal contributed to its popularity as an international rom-com series on Netflix. As interest in Asian cultures continues to expand into mainstream media, there is hope to see Ahn Hyo-seop in more prominent and widespread projects in the future. His upcoming venture, a new KDrama titled Sold Out on You, is set to premiere next month, offering audiences a fresh glimpse into his evolving career.

As Sold Out on You unfolds, viewers will be transported into a whimsical rom-com world where Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), also known as “Quail Lee,” a multitasking farmer, clashes humorously with Dam Ye-jin (portrayed by Chae Won-bin), a famous show host battling severe insomnia. The series promises unexpected encounters and comedic moments to captivate audiences.

Chae Won-bin, relatively new to the entertainment scene, has showcased her talent in films like Run Boy Run and Strong Underdog, as well as in popular KDramas such as When My Love Blooms and Delayed Justice. This emerging actress brings a fresh energy to her character in Sold Out on You, adding depth to the storyline.

With 12 episodes in total, Sold Out on You is set to premiere on Netflix over two nights, on Wednesday, Apr. 22, and Thursday, Apr. 23. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, with the finale scheduled for Thursday, May 28. Viewers can anticipate a delightful blend of humor, romance, and unexpected twists in this charming series.
