Speculation about Ariana Grande’s weight loss has been circulating on social media. Fans began to notice her slimmer figure in recent photos and videos, prompting rumours. The pop star, known for her powerhouse vocals, has since opened up about the changes in her body and the reasons behind them.
In a candid TikTok video, Ariana addressed her followers directly about her health journey. The One Last Time singer revealed that a shift in her lifestyle, along with increased stress, has significantly contributed to her physical changes. She expressed that these changes have ultimately left her feeling healthier than ever.
As concerns about her health swirled, Ariana credited her weight loss to a conscious effort to adopt a healthier lifestyle. In recent years, she has prioritised both her mental and physical health by making changes that include a balanced vegan diet, regular exercise, and an overall focus on well-being.
“There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. Personally, the body you’ve been comparing my current figure to was the unhealthiest version of my body,” she explained in the video. “I was on a lot of antidepressants, drinking while on them, and eating poorly. I was at the lowest point in my life when I looked the way you consider my ‘healthy.’ But that wasn’t actually ‘healthy.’ Healthy can look different.”
She emphasised, “Bodies change, and we never know what someone is going through, even if they seem fine.” Ariana noted that her body has fluctuated over the years and that her current appearance reflects her focus on self-care rather than dieting. She also hinted that stress has played a role in her transformation.
In recent years, Ariana has faced personal challenges, including the trauma from the Manchester bombing and, more recently, her split from Dalton Gomez.
Additionally, Ariana Grande is addressing criticism related to her personal life. Alongside discussions about her weight loss, fans have criticised her relationship with Ethan Slater. The two first met while filming Wicked in London in 2022, where Ariana plays Glinda, and Ethan portrays Boq, the munchkin-turned-romantic interest.
Ariana and Ethan grew closer during filming but only pursued a romantic relationship after separating from their respective partners. Ethan’s ex-wife, Lilly Jay, has voiced her disapproval, stating, “[Ariana’s] the story, really. Not a girl’s girl. My family is just collateral damage.”
In response to the media attention surrounding her new romance, Ariana suggested that rumours about her relationship with Ethan have been exaggerated. “The most disappointing part was to see so many people believe the worst version of it,” she told Vanity Fair. “There couldn’t be a less accurate depiction of a human being than the one that the tabloids spread about him.”
