Amber Rose Responds to Backlash After Claiming Beyoncé Copied Her Speech at Kamala Harris Rally

Amber Rose recently addressed criticism over her comment that Beyoncé “took” her speech during the singer’s appearance at Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston.

“I was literally trolling. I always joke around with my friends,” she told TMZ on her way to a Halloween party in Hollywood on Sunday. “I didn’t think the comment would become international news. But I love Beyoncé; I know her well. We’ve hung out plenty of times, and she’s amazing. I was just low-key trolling.”

She added, “It’s funny how one comment can blow up into such a big story. I was honestly just joking.” When asked if she was serious, Rose replied, “Only a delusional person would be serious about that.”

Beyoncé’s appearance at Harris’ rally on Friday officially endorsed the vice president’s presidential bid. “We are on the verge of an enormous shift,” Beyoncé said to a crowd of over 20,000 while on stage with her former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland. “I’m here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are united,” she added, urging both men and women across the nation to vote.

After The Shade Room posted a clip of Beyoncé’s speech, Rose, who has endorsed Donald Trump, commented that Beyoncé “literally took my whole speech.” Rose was referring to her address at the Republican National Convention in July, where she spoke about motherhood and the importance of voting.

Responses to Rose’s comment ranged widely. One commenter pointed out, “Saying someone wants to be like you when you’re out of their tax bracket is WILD,” while another added, “Beyoncé is a mother. Amber is a baby mama.” Another remarked, “OH SURE… BEYONCÉ wakes up to be… at best… a reality TV star…”
