Selena Gomez Discusses Lupus Diagnosis After Fans Notice Shaking Hands in TikTok Video

After her fans noticed Selena Gomez’s hands trembling in a recent TikTok video, the artist had to elaborate on her previously revealed lupus diagnosis. A few weeks ago, the 30-year old singer posted a video which highlighted her daily makeup and skincare regimen. When she tried to use micellar water on a sponge, it was noticeable that her hands were shaking; Gomez later explained this was an adverse effect of her lupus medication.

PSA I got most of these products free. I ain’t just rolling like that everywhere. Use any serum to take off make up before washing. It breaks it up nicely. Also use a sponge to wipe eyes to treat eyes delicately when removing make up. K I’m done pretending I know what I’m taking about.

The star was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder in 2014 and discussed it openly during the 2022 documentary ‘Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me’. Gomez also faced a kidney transplant due to her lupus in 2017 and mental health issues during this time.

Nevertheless, the star has been pushing on and working hard on the set of her Hulu series, ‘Only Murders in the Building’. The third season is also welcoming a host of celebrity guest stars – including three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep who recently joined Gomez and Paul Rudd for a scene.

Selena Gomez continues to be a source of inspiration for her fans and is an advocate for those living with lupus. She has been an honest example of not letting any medical condition stand in the way of her career. Despite her health issues, she is determined to keep going and enjoying life – a sentiment that resonates with many of her fans.
