Savannah Louie: Survivor Preparation Pays Off

Savannah Louie, a competitor on Survivor, took her preparation to the next level in order to compete on Season 29. The 31-year-old Californian detailed her intense pre-show diet and exercise routine on Instagram, leaving fans in awe of her dedication.

Louie knew that food would be scarce and physical competitions would be demanding on Survivor, so she started a strict regimen of fasted exercise three months before filming. Her routine included a big Sunday evening meal, followed by workouts until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, resulting in a 48 to 60-hour fast with multiple workouts.

To simulate the Fiji heat, Louie incorporated hot yoga into her workouts and avoided water during exercise. She made sure to consume electrolytes during her fasts to stay hydrated. Additionally, she eliminated addictive substances from her diet one month before filming to avoid cravings.

Despite the challenges, Louie believes her preparation paid off and improved her performance on Survivor. While the routine was tough initially, she felt ready to push her body to its limits by the time she arrived in Fiji. Although she found the routine unsustainable for her everyday life, she was grateful for the experience.

Fans were impressed by Louie’s dedication and foresight, with many expressing admiration for her commitment to preparation. Her strategic approach paid off in the game, as she excelled in challenges and secured immunity multiple times.

Survivor airs on CBS on Wednesday nights at 8/7c. Louie’s story serves as a reminder of the dedication and hard work required to compete at such a high level, making her a standout competitor on the show.
