Savannah Chrisley Posts First Photos of Dad Todd Chrisley Following Prison Release

Savannah Chrisley is celebrating the release of her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, from federal prison this week, sharing new photos of her father after their surprising pardon by President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, May 29, Savannah, 27, posted several selfies with her dad on Instagram. In the photos, Savannah was seen wearing a “MAGA” hat and a black hoodie, while Todd wore sunglasses and a plain black cap.

She set the post to Jason Aldean’s song “We Back,” and seemingly addressed the paparazzi by writing, “Here’s your photo” in the caption.

She followed up with another post simply captioned, “WE ARE BACK 🙌🏼” and even joked about “outrunning paparazzi” in a TikTok clip the same day.

Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were released from federal prison on Wednesday, May 28, with their children picking them up.

Savannah picked up her father from a prison in Pensacola, Florida, where he had been since 2022, while one of her brothers picked up Julie from a facility in Kentucky.

Speaking to reporters outside the prison, Savannah shared the emotional impact of their incarceration.

“My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each other’s voices or seen each other in the past two and a half years,” she said.

“Their 29th wedding anniversary was May 25, so we’re only a few days out from that. So when they reunite, we’re going to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, all the things, because we’re going to make up for lost time.”

The stars of “Chrisley Knows Best” were initially indicted on fraud charges in 2019 and found guilty in 2022.

Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Julie to seven, though their sentences were reduced by nearly two years in 2024.

Their release comes after President Trump signed a formal pardon earlier this week. In a phone call to Savannah on Tuesday, May 27, Trump stated, “It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean. I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”
