Ryan Seacrest Reveals Top 12 Results and Judges’ Song Contest Winner

American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, revealed the results of America’s vote for the Top 12 in a suspenseful episode that was postponed due to the overwhelming volume of votes. The Top 12 then faced the “Judges’ Song Contest,” where they performed ’90s hits selected by Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, or Carrie Underwood, hoping to secure a spot in the Top 11. Lionel emerged as the winner of the contest, with Carrie coming in second and Luke in last place.

To add to the excitement, stars from ABC’s ’90s lineup, including Andrea Barber from Full House, joined the contestants in the lounge as America voted live. The bottom two contestants, Rae and Jesse Findling, faced elimination. Luckily for Rae, Lionel used the judges save to keep her in the competition, resulting in Jesse being eliminated.

In a change from previous seasons, the American Idol app for voting has been replaced by social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, alongside text and online voting options.

As the episode came to a close, the Top 11 contestants were revealed, including Braden Rumfelt, Brooks, Chris Tungseth, Daniel Stallworth, Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, Julián Kalel, Keyla Richardson, Kyndal Inskeep, Lucas Leon, and Philmon Lee.

Each contestant delivered powerful performances, with standout moments from Hannah Harper singing “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina, Jordan McCullough’s rendition of “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey, and Daniel Stallworth’s take on “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over” by Lenny Kravitz.

The night was filled with emotional highs and lows, as the competition continues to heat up. American Idol airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with streaming available the next day on Hulu. Stay tuned to see which contestant will ultimately be crowned the next American Idol.
