Appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race is a career-making and life-changing experience. Even if you don’t walk away with the crown, the Emmy-winning reality show has produced some of drag’s biggest names. For a select few, the chance to come back and compete all over again awaits.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, initially debuting in 2012, has now become an annual occurrence. Queens from different seasons re-enter the “Werk Room” to showcase their skills once more. Last year saw a massive game-changing shake-up as 18 queens competed in a tournament-style battle for the crown. In groups of six, they would compete for one of three spots in the endgame over three episodes. The eventual finalists would face off in an epic Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown grand finale episode.
Season 11 of All Stars, premiering on Paramount+ on May 8, will once again feature three groups of six queens vying for a spot at the big finale. The top two queens with the highest point totals from each group will advance to the semi-finals, where they will compete head-to-head with the top queens from the other groups. The tournament will culminate in a showdown for a grand prize of $200,000 and a place in the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame.
The returning queens now have the advantage of having seen the format from the previous season. This insight into pre-game relationships and alliances may lead to a strategically intense season of All Stars. From early-season standouts to new-school stars, check out the images and bios of the 18 contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. The season promises to be full of fierce competition and unexpected twists. Don’t miss the two-episode premiere on May 8 on Paramount+.
In the world of All Stars, queens like A’Keria C. Davenport, April Carrión, Aura Mayari, Crystal Methyd, Dawn, Hershii LiqCour-Jeté, Jasmine Kennedie, Joey Jay, Kennedy Davenport, Lucky Starzzz, Morgan McMichaels, Morphine Love Dion, Mystique Summers, Salina Es Titties, Sam Star, Shuga Cain, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and Vivacious are ready to show off their skills and fight for the crown. Each brings a unique flair and style to the competition. The look and feel of the season promise to be nothing short of spectacular.
